UTE-204DAB - Alpine Single DIN DAB Radio Head Unit (Part Number: UTE-204DAB)

Whilst they won't stock every single Alpine head-unit, they will cherry pick the best of their incredibly well respected car audio range which will enhance any Defender audio install. They've specifically chosen this single DIN DAB head-unit as it's very close in appearance to the original Alpine CDE-130R factory fit head-unit (LR040841) in the Tdci/Puma Defender - Perfect if you are trying to restore a 'molested' Defender, your original head-unit has run out of steam or you simply wish to retain a factory radio appearance. DAB radio means you can pick up 1000s of radio stations that aren't available on FM/AM such as BBC 6 music of 5live Sports Extra. Note this head unit does not include a DAB aerial, they are available to purchase separately here. The Alpine UTE-204DAB has a full RGB Colour spectrum so you can personalise your head-unit in any colour of your choice, or simply match the Defender dashboard by selecting green or amber illumination. If you have an Apple or Android based phone or tablet, you can connect via USB (cable not included) to your Alpine head unit to enjoy audio content through your car speakers. You can select songs on your phone/ tablet or using the rotary encoder of your head unit. Spotify can be streamed wirelessly, alternatively there is also an AUX in input on the front of the screen. The Alpine UTE-204DAB is as close as you'll get to a plug and play replacement for the original factory head unit. Use your existing ISO connector (if you have one) in conjunction with the Alpine connector provided to connect the head-unit to the Defender wiring. If you have a Tdci/Puma which doesn't have an existing ISO connector you can use the Puma ISO wiring connector to connect the 'big grey plug' to the alpine loom.
