Mechanism and drive of front windshield wipers Land Rover Defender
The mechanism of the front windshield wipers of the Land Rover Defender transmits motion from the electric motor to two wiper arms through a gear, a flexible drive cable, and spindle reducers.
For Defenders up to VIN 1A622423, gear 517646, cable RTC202, and spindle reducers PRC8495 are used. For vehicles from VIN 2A622424, gear DLW000020, cable DLE000010, and reducers DKU500010 are used.The system also includes guide tubes that define the path of the cable between the motor and the reducers.
For early vehicles, separate tubes PRC3671 for RHD and PRC3672 for LHD are provided, as well as tubes between the reducers and the end of the drive.Standard and reinforced spindle reducers LRC2270 and LRC2275 are available for repair and modernization.
