MUD-0096 - MUD 12v/Cigar Lighter Piggy-Back Loom (Part Number: MUD-0096)

This useful piggy-back loom provides a quick and easy ‘plug & play’ solution for creating an additional power source behind the dashboard of your Land Rover without the need to hack into any of your dashboard wiring. Use the 12v piggy-back loom when installing an additional power socket or use it as quick way to provide a dashboard illumination feed for extra switches. The loom fits between the back of the 12v socket and the factory connections for the 12v socket using plug & play connections. No cutting or modification of the factory wiring is required to install this product. Once installed, the piggy-back loom provides three 500mm fly-leads giving you an Ignition Live, a Ground/Earth and a Dashboard Illumination feed. The functionality of the factory 12v is not affected by fitting the 12v piggy-back loom.  Each kit is supplied with 3 x female insulated spade terminals for the ends of the fly-leads. Please Note:  Any device you ‘piggy-back’ off the factory installed 12v socket must not exceed the maximum amperage of the factory 12v socket wiring. E.g., the factory installed 2.2/2.4 Tdci Defender 12v socket is rated at 20-amps max. Refer to your vehicle fusebox schematic for the maximum rating of the factory 12v socket in your vehicle.
