The Mantec spare wheel carrier features a unique patented piston and piston housing allowing the swinging action of the back door to work through the attached spare wheel carrier. All the weight of the spare wheel is taken off the back door by the spare wheel carrier which is mounted at the waist and onto the chassis. Passengers in the rear can exit safely as the door works normally. It is important you make sure the back door of the Defender has not been modified or changed. Mantec's wheel carrier fits Series 3, Defender 90 and Defender110 models. Steel or alloy wheel rims. If in doubt, please check with your supplier before purchasing.
